Where we expose the pipe dreams in HVAC—with humor and truth.
How Plumber’tails, SmirkLines & Burns work around here.
😏 Note:Smirk was here — Probably tampered with something.
When your HVAC company also does plumbing… and this guy shows up.
🧠 Just a Bowl of Common Sense
Plumber’tails is our way of spotlighting HVAC companies sending plumbers in A/C hats.
It’s satire with an honest HVAC core — we mock the madness and at the same time warn you.
When companies blur the line, homeowners pay for it — misdiagnosed systems, wrong fixes, and sales instead of solutions.
🧠 The Clues
Legend:
Smirk — commentary / sarcasm
Plumber’tail — main roast / red flag
Burn —direct call out
If the techs at your door smells like a recently used commode and speaks fluent Plumblerish (think Spanglish, but with more pipe dope), they probably shouldn’t be anywhere near your compressor.
These aren’t seasoned HVAC pros — they’re mis-assigned plumbers tossed into HVAC service vans by companies that added “We do plumbing on the side!”. Because hiring plumbers is easy… hiring real HVAC pros is not.
When HVAC companies add sewer plumbing services, odds are it’s not HVAC techs snaking drains — it’s plumbers answering A/C calls.
So when the “not enough cold air” call hits the HVAC/plumbing company dispatch, they just shrug and say — “It’s only airflow — we’ll treat it like a sewer gas pipe with an A/C filter on it.” Then they’ll send their best plumber-salesmen roll out with shiny brochures labeled “A/Cs on sale this month!”.
We don’t just call it out — we roast it 😏 sometimes a burn .
